Update on Luke's progress

J - time is flying by and Luke is nearly 8 weeks old. I have to keep reminding myself that this baby stage will be so fleeting and to enjoy every moment. This photo is with Adam and Lucie who were recently married and are looking very clucky.

At 7 weeks Luke weighed in at 5.4 kilos. Funnily enough this is the same weight as his friend Percy Slatter who was born the day after Luke. It will be interesting to see how the boys track over the years!

G is thrilled that Luke is 'talking' now. Luke has a wide collection of sounds and noises that he thinks is talking. I love to 'talk' back - his reaction is fantastic, big smiles and more chatter.

Luke is a 'Contented Baby' (for those who want to know more check out Gina Ford's book) and this week slept through from his 10:30pm feed until 6am. I know I should have been pretty excited but I woke up at 4am wondering why I was still asleep. Luke's now sleeping until 5 - 6am every day so I think it won't be very long until he sleeps through. What a treat for his Mum.

This photo has Luke sprawled across the shawl that his Great Aunt Pauline has spent 200+ hours knitting for him. It's gorgeous looking and so soft that I know Luke will treasure it for years to come.

Luke and I are off to Perth tomorrow to visit the Robinson family. More news when we return. Here's the latest family portrait.
