---> G with Luke in the Baby Bjorn and Ben camping at Cape OtwayJ - on the recent long weekend G and I loaded the car and headed off on our favourite pursuit camping. Luke tagged along and really enjoyed himself. The fresh air and trees were a bit hit. The four hour drive was a bit tiring for us all and included a necessary break period for Luke. Poor Luke doesn't really enjoy being strapped into the car capsule so after a while needs to be able to wriggle about. Ben and Penni were great camp mates - they not only brought most of the equipment but spent lots of time playing with Luke allowing G and I to head off to the beach.
---> J feeding Luke alfrescoLuke's latest developments at 11 weeks of age ... as his mother I'm sometimes too close to him to really see him change. We have plenty of friends who let me know that they see big changes in him over the weeks. He now has tears (not the crocodile version), tries to put all of his toys into his mouth and uses his tongue for exploring new things, his Moro relfex is lessening so his arms are not flinging around so much, G and I gave up on wrapping him and after 3 reduced sleep days and nights Luke has settled into his sleeping bag and he has great neck control so doesn't need his head propped up when he's being held. Expect lots more changes in our next post.
G - I've been shooting short movies of Luke in the starring role. Because I miss Luke's daily escapades by being at work J has started shooting movies for me to watch when I get him. He's so cute and I think Luke could be a candidate for 'Funniest Home Videos'.On the second night of camping we woke at midnight when the rain started pelting down. Six hours later it eased and we were grateful to not have been washed away. Luke was a trooper and slept through it all (we didn't...)
