Better than ever

We've had a lovely few weeks spending lots of time with the boys over the Christmas period.  Here's a few photo's to show how much fun we've had.

Christmas morning - early and with plenty of presents at our house

Typical sunny day for Christmas lunch with Inez, Nick, Jeremie and Karen.  Nothing beats a long, slow lunch.  We broke with tradition and had a whole salmon this year - just a little underdone!

Luke with his new cap (seems to be done with little boy hats and now wants caps...) and his electric car - both Christmas gifts.  We should really know by now that whatever Luke gets Alex wants and should have bought Alex one too!

The boys attacking the leftover Christmas cheese plate.  We could never have too much cheese in this house and both boys have a taste for the good stuff.

Christmas just makes us so happy and having extra time to hang out is great.  Oh and I've cut my hair.

Luke's 4th birthday cake - pavolva with passionfruit / both boys just love passionfruit.  We spent the night in Rye so he got plenty of beach time too.

Luke didn't really need any extra presents so Karen and I took Luke and his mate Jack to the aquarium on the 29th (actually Alex's birthday but he didn't know any better...)  The the boys went for lunch afterwards.  In this shot they not only look cheeky but very relaxed and at home at the cafe.

Luke being very cool with his sunglasses and the tattoos he got at the acquarium.

Alex trying to be a copy cat.  You can see here why I've was calling him "flopsy mopsy" - very much in need of a haircut.

Alex is also a smoocher and most casual family meals end up with him snuggling up on my lap.  I love my two very affectionate boys.  In this photo Alex is wearing 'slip' (or underpants) as he and Luke had a alfresco peepee during lunch.  Alex prefers to wear slip over nappies but still forgets he's not wearing a nappy when he's busy playing.
