More news and photos

Wow I hadn't realised that we had so many photos to post.  Again the benefit of being on holidays is more time in general as well as with each other.  I've obviously had the camera close on hand.  Although not too close as both boys love to get their hands on it and it's starting to take a beating.  They have taken some interesting shots but many are not worth saving.  Why do kids always want adult toys over their own?

We also spent New Years Eve down in Rye.  It was an absolutely sweltering day so the beach was the only place to be.  Here's the back of Alex and the two small figures in the background are Luke on the boogie board and G. 

Luke loves the boogie board and considers it his. Alex is quite fond of it too so a careful time allocation is required.

Alex loves the beach too and will spend ages floating around in his 'seal'.  The he'll happily play in the sand, digging and collecting shells.  That's until snack time (he still happily eats sand when the food falls in it) or when Luke proposes a race down the beach.  Racing with Alex is slow going as he likes a lot of "ready, steady, go!"  in fact every 10 or so steps.

Luke and a few of his mates at our park preparing for a race.  The flip side of holidays is that the kids really start to miss their friend from childcare.  So a few of us have got in touch and organised big play dates so they can run wild together.  Tonight Luke was wishing that is wasn't the weekend coming up but his return to Possums where he will be a kinder boy this year.

Alex has been keen to have a scooter for a while and with a week at home with the boys on my own I decided it was time - thanks Grandpa Bill for providing them!  Alex has a three wheel scooter given he's only two but is doing amazingly well.  Luke has always had natural sportsman ship and balance so he was quickly showing off with a few one foot stunts.  No mishaps yet...

Yes, that little boy on that big slide is Alex!  We visited a pool with Marianna (Alex's fave carer from Possums) and Luke was on the slide as soon as he spotted it.  Once Alex saw Luke's big smile there was no holding him back.  Luke kindly helped Alex up the ladder, got him positioned and then gave him a big shove to send him on his way.  That's what brothers are for.

Two happy, wet and cold little boys.  Why do kids refuse to acknowledge they are so cold that they're turning blue?
