Dussuyer family Christmas

It was the Saturday before Christmas.  Work and school had come to an end for the year.

At a birthday party Alex chose to be a 'Zombie' when it was his turn for face painting
The Dussuyer family Christmas was held early in 2012 as Nick and Pippa were heading off to South Africa and we were heading to Perth.  So breaking with the European tradition of celebrating on Christmas Eve we had a dinner on Saturday the 22nd of December.

As always the boys love helping out when we are cooking
To keep things simple we planned a meal around G's famous pizza's.  That meant preparing the dough during the day - a job for G and his little helpers.

Set up outside to enjoy the lovely evening
Kids being kids begged us all day about when it was time to open presents.  They practically counted down the minutes until Oma arrived and then we all agreed they could open one present each.  Then Nick and Pippa arrived so the wrapping tearing frenzy started.

G an I took the opportunity to sit back and let Nick do his uncle duties.  So that meant he was in charge of putting any of the gifts together.  Alex got a new scooter for his birthday (early so we didn't need to take it to Perth with us).  Nick and Pippa were a great team with Nick handle the construction part and Pippa being in charge of reading the instructions.

Testing the new and old scooters.  The red one looks like it goes faster...
And boys being boys then need to let off some energy.  For about the thousand time we are thrilled that we have such a long driveway.
