Where have the past four months gone? Alex has changed so much, he now has lots of fuzzy hair, wet fingers from chewing on them all the time, is sitting up whenever someone is around to prop him up as he seems to dislike lying down, and he still feeds a lot and usually three times a night.

We love him to bits and he’s so cute and smiley. Taking Alex anywhere gets lots of comments as he starts smiling, flirting and ‘talking’ to anyone. He really only gets cranky when he’s hungry or tired so that makes life pretty easy!

We were at a two year old birthday party on the weekend and there were four baby boys all born between 19 and 29 December 2007. It was really interesting to see the differences. Alex was definitely on the larger side and a more social than most of the others. I was envious to hear that one of the other babies was sleeping through the night and the other two only woke once or twice…

So if Alex is 4 months old then Luke is two years, four months and two days. Like a good wine he continues to get better with age. We take great delight in sitting back and watching Luke go about his play and discovering life. He’s developing a fantastic imagination which is coming into his play. On the downside he’s not consistent with his waking and the 5:15am wake-ups are still causing us considerable pain. We recently tried to bribe him with a star chart and ice cream rewards but it didn’t really work after the first week and his ice cream obsession has cooled along with the weather.
